[08/05/2009] Web Services for IUCLID are now available on the IUCLID website.

A Web Service Application Programming Interface (API) has been implemented for IUCLID version 5.1 and above.

The Web Service standard is commonly used for interfacing a software product with external systems. IUCLID Web Service provides a platform-neutral and language- neutral interface that is self-describing and can be implemented to optimise the use of existing tools.

To implement the IUCLID 5 Web Service interface, the AXIS2 Web Service framework was used. In addition, version 1.2 of SOAP and 1.1 of the Web Services Description Language (WSDL) were chosen.

An installation manual and a comprehensive technical manual are available. They can be downloaded here.

Please note that the Web Service API can be used with only the distributed version of IUCLID 5, i.e. not with the standalone version and, is mostly dedicated to software developers who want to connect IUCLID 5 with other tools. This version of the Web Service can be installed on Apache Tomcat 5.5.x or BEA WebLogic 9.0 servers.
